Tonight, I was awarded the EDN 2013 Entrepreneur of the Year Award!!!

This is just one of many amazing achievements I have had since relocating to Nova Scotia in 2011.  I found out a few weeks ago that I was  1 of 3 finalists for the Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Entrepreneur of the Year award and thought that maybe this honor was a little premature as I am just picking up steam.  My nomination was reviewed by local business representatives and ADDvocacy ADHD & Life Skills Coaching ltd was ultimately chosen!

I would like to thank the Entrepreneurs with Disability Network  (www.ednns.ca) for all their help over the past few months.  The crazy thing is that I just hooked up with them for the first time in December of 2012!   The networking opportunities they have provided are incredible and this is just the icing on the cake.  I would also like to thank their sponsors:

  1. Encana Natural Gas
  2. TD Canada Trust
  3. Staples
  4. Office Interiors
  5. Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency
  6. Nova Scotia Economic and Rural Development
  7. Nova Scotia Community Services

In addition I want to acknowledge the other two finalists:

  1. Annabel Purcell (Reliable Home Rentals) www.reliablehomerentals.com
  2. Stacey Campbell (Sugar Shok Candy Boutique) www.sugarshok.com

As well as the “Up and Coming Entrepreneur of the year”

  1. Claude Comeau (Speaking to make a difference) www.speakingtomakeadifference.com

Each of these finalists are amazing individuals and remarkable entrepreneurs.  I have had the honor of working along side them at numerous events and was excited to share the stage with them tonight, Congratulations!

Again, I am completely honored to receive this amazing award and I am extremely excited to see what the future has in store for me!
